To my knowledge there is no way to cheese this fight and you will unfortunately have to do it legit, so hopefully you have patience and nerves of steel. The hardest part is for sure the ending of Luxor where you need to collect the 4 ankhs while running around the obelisks. Most of the game can be cheesed this way. When you are forced to fight, look for any walls where you can rocket jump up to, wait for all enemies to spawn and bunch up under you and pick them off with the weapon of your choosing. In my opinion, The First Encounter is the easiest of the three, as many levels allow you to rocket jump out of the map and run almost all the way to the end of the level. The DLCs are not required, nor do they count in any way for this achievement. Read ahead (and save before you trigger secrets) so you know what you're getting yourself into and if the secret is worth your time!Īs the achievement description states, simply complete any of the three campaigns on Serious difficulty. I'd also recommend reading the guide as you go along, as some of the game's secrets (this applies to every game) can spawn more enemies or simply give you 1 health or something. I will drop links to each game's secrets below, in case you decide to do another game, but know that in 3, the game features "speedrun secrets" in a few levels, meaning you can skip a great chunk of the missions if you look out for them. Knowing where secrets are in any Serious Sam game is vital knowledge that can make your life much easier, mainly because they can give you powerful weapons you normally wouldn't get until later in the game. While seemingly tedious, it helps because when you do have a larger encounter or a boss fight, you will almost always be max ammo and health/shields because you technically took almost no damage and didn't waste ammo the entire map. If I felt I took too much damage or could've done a fight more efficiently, I'd reload. I would make a manual save before every fight, and then quick save while in the fight. ![]() Quick saves start deleting the oldest ones once go beyond 20, so be sure to make manual saves, too. You can do it manually, or press to generate a quick save. This is a godsend when you're going through larger fights, as you have more utility in handling enemies.Īnother nice feature about this game is being able to save whenever you want. For example, the machinegun and minigun share ammo in TFE and TSE, but they do not in 3. Since you don't have unlimited ammo, 3 is also best because almost all of the guns have their own ammo reserves. Most of the levels in 3 are typical modern FPS type, where you'll face very little enemies while traversing through, and then the game's "big fights" have way less enemies than they would in TFE or TSE, making them easier to handle. While the other 2 games do have skippable areas, their combat sections are a little more relentless. Melee and the pistol are actually viable alternatives in 3, whereas in TFE and TSE they are basically useless above Hard. Be sure to turn on auto aim in the gameplay options to give yourself an extra edge, as this does not void the achievement. Aiming down sights is extremely overpowered, as you can actually see what you're looking at, whereas in the other games you always aim from the hip, sometimes making it hard to see. It plays like the other 2, but with more modernized features (sprinting, aiming down sights, autokilling many tough enemies with melee, etc.). ![]() While each of the games are doable (and have their fair share of difficulty spikes), in my opinion Serious Sam 3:BFE is the easiest of the games to get the achievement due to some key differences: When I didn't get it on the first one, I assumed it was a glitch so I did it again on 2, and finally when it didn't unlock I did an unmodified game of 3, getting the achievement. ![]() I did all 3 games on Serious, but did 1 and 2 with infinite ammo. It must an unmodified Serious playthrough, meaning when you pick whatever game you're gonna do on Serious, just pick the difficulty, do not press Y to make it a modified game, or you won't get the difficulty achievement (you'll get everything else, though). For starters, the biggest question is if infinite ammo counts. I've been getting a lot of questions surrounding this achievement, so I thought I'd offer my tips on what I did to get it. You unlock this achievement by beating one of the games on Serious difficulty.
